We’re excited to welcome Adam Polselli to Instacart to lead our growing Design organization. As Head of Design, Adam will oversee the product design teams shaping our customer, shopper, enterprise and advertising products, as well as our Research, Content Strategy, and Brand design teams.
Over the last seven years, Adam has worked across various product teams at Dropbox to help redefine how people organize and collaborate more effectively. Most recently, he led the Dropbox Workspaces design team, which was behind the largest customer-facing redesign in the company’s history. Before Dropbox, he was at the beloved (and design-centric) music service, Rdio.
Adam’s impressive career, spanning consumer, enterprise and productivity products, positions him as the ideal leader to tackle the unique design challenges that come with Instacart’s four-sided marketplace. Adam will oversee the customer design team shaping the mobile and web apps that millions of Instacart customers use to browse 500,000,000+ catalog listings across 20,000 physical retail locations, and make purchases with the tap of a button. He’ll shape the future of our Shopper app, which suggests item-by-item routes that shoppers can follow through a store as they select items, and routes orders to a customer’s doorstep in as little as an hour. And lastly, Adam will manage the evolution of the Enterprise and Advertising products used by North America’s top retailers and brands.
There are so many interesting problems to solve when you’re designing products that are part of a complex, interdependent marketplace like Instacart’s. I’m excited to double the size of this talented Design org in the coming year… and look forward to refining our brand and products as we work to streamline the online grocery experience.
