“Instacart? I LOVE Instacart!” That was my wife’s reaction when I told her I was going to meet with Apoorva, our founder/CEO, for the first time.

We have a busy household. We have three young sons (twin boys who just turned 3 and another son who just turned 1) and effectively a fourth with Rufus, our dog (Thanks to Nilam and the BD team for getting us that Petco partnership!). Avani, my wife, is a working mom. There just aren’t enough hours in the day to do everything we want to do. But in the past year using Instacart, it’s like we magically got 4 extra hours a week to spend with our boys.

That was the first reason I was excited to join Instacart – we are solving a real problem for our customers. I love telling people that I work at Instacart and hearing about how much they value us. I feel a lot of pride for having anything to do with that experience.

In addition to that, I’m so excited about the business and where it’s going. The business is growing in customers, partners, cities – you name it. The team is terrific and our engineering and product departments are solving new, complex and exciting problems that put Instacart on the cutting edge of the industry. Lastly, we have an incredible set of backers who share the vision for where we are going. It’s going to be hard – but that’s the fun part. If it was easy, it would have already been done.

Getting to solve really hard problems with an amazing team for something that really matters to our customers? I’m in.
